Civil, Commercial & Criminal Litigation
The Civil and Commercial team comprises Graham French, Gusta Glover, and Tilly Rubens, partners, Gemma Marrs and Amy Lewis, associate solicitors and one trainee. Some of our civil work is ancillary to our property and housing work and includes construction disputes, contract disputes and tort and negligence claims including professional negligence, many of them related to property.
We also undertake commercial disputes in a variety of fields, for example disputes between companies relating to web design, the supply of mobile phones, the provision of professional services and major construction work contracts. We aim to provide clear, practical and cost effective advice to companies, businesses and individuals involved in such disputes.
We also undertake some personal injury work for both Claimants and Defendants.
We undertake actions against the police, human rights cases and a variety of cases involving issues of public law, in particular planning and education law.
Criminal
Our criminal team consists of Graham French, partner, Jane Hinde, consultant and Amy Lewis, associate solicitor. We provide advice and representation in relation to all offences from the least to the most serious, from initial arrest through to trial. However, due to changes in the legal aid scheme we no longer undertake these cases on a publicly funded basis, but are happy to undertake criminal work for private clients.
We hold a community services Quality Mark in Housing Law.
